We are looking to grow our firm and are looking for an associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience. This is a mid-level associate attorney position. Other positions may be available, please check our LinkedIn for other postings.
About the role:
Work with partners on all complex cases to include research, motion drafting, ADR (mediation and arbitration) and court appearance.
You will be challenged, to help you achieve new goals as a litigator.
Learn how to handle a variety different types of cases.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Taking depositions of law enforcement, plaintiffs/claimants, fact witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives
Attending court proceedings to include jury trial as second chair with opportunity for lead
Mediating/ arbitrating / negotiation resolution of cases
Drafting relevant legal pleadings and discovery
Arguing of motions to various tribunals to include state and federal court
Meet/exceed billable hour requirement
Successful candidates will have:
Strong critical thinking skills
Good communication
Strong research and writing skills
Law review experience
Mock trial experience
ADR training experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Law degree from an accredited school.
Active Florida bar license.
3-5 years experience in litigation, preferably insurance defense
