We are looking to grow our firm by adding a paralegal with 2+ years of experience. This is a mid-level paralegal position. Other positions may be available, please check our LinkedIn for other postings.
About the role:
Assist a team of attorneys in in-suit and pre-suit litigation matters.
Assist your attorney with trial preparation and attendance at trial.
Assist with scheduling of hearings, mediations, phone conferences and other various meetings.
Work with other paralegal to complete projects asked for by the client.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Preparing various types of motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence to clients and opposing counsel.
Processing of pleadings, motions, and correspondence (e-service and physical) and use of the Florida e-filing portal.
Preparing materials in support of pleadings, motions, depositions and other events to assist the attorneys.
Capturing, entering and billing time in accordance with client guidelines and comply with the firm’s monthly minimum billing requirement.
Communicate with clients, carriers, and counsel effectively in a team environment.
Successful candidates will have:
Strong critical thinking skills
Good communication
Knowledge of Florida Civil Rule of Procedures
Basic insurance defense litigation experience
Attention to detail
Great organization
Proficiency in writing and research
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and/or other time and document management software.
Experience with e-filing, billing, calendaring and all other essential paralegal skills.
